PvP and guild wars
This guide covers fighting other players: one-on-one duels, PK mode in the field, and the scheduled fort wars, Guild Tournament and sieges.
Checklist
- Duel is on the Special tab of the Skill window.
- Killing players in PK mode raises your Bad Fame.
- Siege is fought over Lo Yang Castle every two weeks.
Duels
Select another player, then use Duel from the Living list on the Special tab of the Skill window (K). They can accept or refuse. You can’t start a duel while you’re in PK mode.
PK mode and Bad Fame
Towns are safe. On most field maps you can turn on PK mode from the main menu bar and attack other players.
Killing a player who isn’t in PK mode raises your Bad Fame. The more you already have, the more each kill adds. Players with high Bad Fame risk losing items, having items looted and losing a skill when they die.
Bad Fame goes down by 1 for every 10 minutes you spend on a field map with PK mode off. You can also pay some of it off for 10,000 gold per point, but only the part above 100.
Fort wars
Fort wars are held every Tuesday and Friday at 21:00 server time for one hour, on Mt. Min Sa, Dragon Gate Cave and Shaolin Temple. During the war, channel 1 of those maps becomes a war channel. A guild takes the fort when its guild master engraves the fort’s symbol. The server announces each war an hour before it starts.
Guild Tournament
The Guild Tournament runs every two weeks. Guilds register between Monday 00:01 and Wednesday 23:59. The rounds of 32 and 16 are on Thursday at 22:00 and 22:30, and the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final are on Saturday at 22:00, 22:30, 23:00 and 23:30. All times are server time.
Sieges
Guilds and their alliances fight for Lo Yang Castle every two weeks. Attackers register from Wednesday to Friday. By default the siege runs on Sunday from 18:00 to 20:00, but the castle’s owner can move it on Monday or Tuesday to a Saturday start between 14:00 and 18:59, or a Sunday start between 14:00 and 20:59. Each siege is announced server-wide.
